In a cold windy night
Of roaring waves and rising tide
An earthen lamp was lying
On a lonely side
It was sure to go out
So sure to die
Bt still the flame fought
For its death to glorify
What a fight that was
With roaring winds and rising tides
What a fight that was
With just the flame on one side
Lamp told flame to get back
To run for its life
Oil suggested it to hide
To be sure that it survive
Shouts and screams
And loads of cry
Prayers and curses
And valour and joy
Finally the flame won
Finally it survived
But suddenly the lamp broke
And suddenly the oil spilled
The flame saw its death
Dancing gracefully in its win
It greeted the enemy death
With hands in welcoming gesture
For that ferocious fight
Is now what hardly matter
And then the flame died
But never got a peace of mind
It lied in its euphoric world
Far from the world so unkind
How worthless that fight seemed to be
How meager that glory was
Because when the flame died
It was due to the one it had pride
wow! nice one.............
